Please share your favourite book recommendations. I’ve noticed that those with a way with words often grew up as avid readers. Honestly, I wasn’t much of a reader growing up, but now I’m trying to turn it into a hobby. Hopefully, I can grow to better express my thoughts while also enjoying my reading journey. I’ve been exploring book recommendations on tiktok, but the ones I end up reading haven’t really been up my alley. It felt like I was just reading words on paper. I’ve given up on getting recommendations from there. Books were just dumbed down to certain tropes, but it didn’t even make sense when you read the book; it felt like it was added just to be ticked off as having it. That type of reading isn’t a problem, it’s just not what i am looking for.
I’m open to any genre or plot; what matters most to me is captivating writing. I crave words that transport me, maybe even introduce a few big words for a learning experience. Please, no educational self-help books.
