Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel is somewhat unique in the sense that it’s non-linear, and jumps around between characters and before/during/after the apocalypse (a disease) looking at how our relationships with other people shape us. It’s touching and really well written, I did enjoy it quite a lot

I guess it would probably be more “near” apocalyptic as things slowly come back
