This is very niche, but I am working on a fantasy novel inspired by Hawaiian history/mythology, and I’m trying to get a feel for how my characters would sound/think/talk.
The story runs parallel to the US-backed overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy, so like 1900 roughly.
