I am going through my own healing journey and would love some recommendations, either fiction or non-fiction, where the author finds healing through reconnecting with nature and/or reconnecting with simple living.

“Hiking Through” by Paul Stutzman is his story of therapeutically hiking the Appalachian Trail after losing his wife to cancer.

And , don’t forget ,”Walden “ by Thoreau.

    2. A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson might be up your alley. Thru hiker on the Appalachian Trail, and I really enjoyed it.

Sy Montgomery’s books have a lot of this element. I’ve read the Soul of the Octopus and How to Be a Good Creature and both shared themes of lessons from nature/animals. Specifically surrounding mental health, relationships, and grief.
