I just made it to chapter 41. I consider myself pretty seasoned with horror, and disturbing movies. Most recently I watched A Serbian Film (If you haven’t seen it, don’t). But this book is the first to make me feel genuine anxiety and sickness. My head hurts, I’m sweating, holding my breath and trying to prevent myself from hyperventilating. Tense does not describe it.
I’m writing this as a little mental break but holy shit. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love horror and I’m convinced this will be my favourite horror novel ever (so if anyone has recommendations for similar novels, please share). But yeah, that’s all. Just a small ramble to give me a break lol

This book fucked me right up when I read it. At the end I just stared at a wall for a solid minute. Amazing writer, horrific story. Even worse when you realize it’s based on a true case
