She may be running away from something or is in danger. Bonus if she’s putting herself in danger to help MMC but he doesn’t know. No love triangles please. Can be slow burn. Strictly fantasy or paranormal romance.
Only thing i can remember right now that has a similar vibe that I’m looking for is Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh. Doesn’t have to be a shifter romance though.
