Please suggest a highly readable book on the evolution of language and linguistics. I know it’s very specific but I want to know how languages are evolved. I already read Sapiens. Thank you

I know Sapiens has a bit of controversy but for my level of understanding and the level of readability, I find that book very interesting. Would love to read similar books on other anthropological topics. Thank you.
