I could’ve sworn I’ve read something like this before, but can’t remember the name. Anyways I’m looking for a book that has a woman as the lead who is dangerous because of her rank or power or strength (or all) and she has no weakness except for a guy she secretly loves or grows to love. So she has to protect herself (throne, power, rank) and him but thinks whoever is after her doesn’t know about him and they start to target him to get to her.
Adult, can be fantasy. Romance of course.
It’s probably cliche but I couldn’t find any books with this type of story.
