This is the second time I’d noticed this. It was in the context of telling whether a book was history or historical fiction. Amazon has been at the book business too long for me to think it’s an oversight. Why not just come out and list fiction or nonfiction alongside the publisher, page length, etc?
In an in person new bookstore, a library, or even a used bookstore, fiction or nonfiction is the first thing you learn about a book just because of where it’s shelved. Why not Amazon too?
