She enjoyed Where the Crawdads Sing. She liked the first Bridgerton book, The Duke and I, but didn’t like how much sex there was so I’m not really sure about giving her the rest of the series.
I read a lot of fantasy, horror and mysteries and I think what I read is too dark for her preference.

The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer
I recently loved Lessons in Chemistry. It’s funny, moving, well written, and has a good feminist angle to help indoctrinate MILs 😉
