I really liked both because they provided context and perspective that I previously lacked. I enjoyed the auto-biographical nature of those books. I had a hard time putting them down because it was clear that the author(s) went through great pain to reflect upon and pick out the most important parts of their experiences.
I would enjoy more reads like this.
