Hi. I’m looking for a good Hades x Persephone retelling story. So far I’ve only come across billionaire hades crappy romance stories. I’d like the read with the one in original setting or sth that is not contemporary. Thank you in advance!

Dazzling Brightness by Roberta Gellis is a Hades x Persephone story.
If you’re interested in comics, Punderworld by Linda Sejic is on Webtoons and updates twice a month.
“Alcestis” by Katharine Beutner has a polyamorous Persephone as the main character’s love interest, and includes background Hades x Persephone.
Not so much suggestion for you to *read*, but I tried **Lore Olympus** and some of the characterizations were… icky,, to me
I admit this isn’t exactly what you want; but Orpheia by Joanne Harris is a re-telling of Orpheus and Eurydice; which is quite a similar story. Orpheus’ wife Eurydice dies and Orpheus goes down to Hades to try to get her back; with predictable results [look it up on Wikipedia!]
Harris’ re-telling makes Orpheus a woman and sets the story in a sort of modern era.
It has that ‘modern fairytale’ feel to it.
