Recently came off antidepressants and feeling a bit vulnerable. 🥹
Would love some recommendations for beautifully written novels or (auto)biographical books about relationships, where nothing traumatic happens.
I like 🧡 romance, family stuff & generational saga, queer, historical, sentimental, books adapted to film, anything set in sunny countries or the art world. Sex is definitely a plus!
I prefer texts where emotions are central rather than not discussed at all (my parents ignored mine growing up 👀). Recently read *Call Me by Your Name* and loved it for all the emotional wallowing and sentimentality. 😍
Not looking for easy tropes, fantasy, sci-fi, surrealism or a very minimalist writing style. Don’t really want to read about serious mental illness right now.
Thank you so much for any tips! 🙏🙏🙏
