I’ve recently started to read again after not picking up a book for years. When I was in school I used to read often, mostly YA, fantasy, that sort of stuff. But now when I picked up my old books(ex: Heros of Olympus series)I just wasn’t interested in them.
One day few weeks back I randomly picked up A Thousand Splendid Suns and it was a terrific read, since then I’ve read The Catcher in the Rye and The Colour Purple and I want similar books recommendations. I think I want to explore stories from different cultures, and I’m ready for more mature style of writing. I’d still prefer some easy to read fictions though.
Anyways excited to start reading more, I’ve really been enjoying so far☺️

I always recommend Over the Moon by Natalie Lloyd for a nice feel-good easy to read book, but it might not be up your alley as much. So I would recommend the Giver, for a darker theming. Aru-Sha and the End of Time I haven’t read, but I heard it was a great fantasy that explored other cultures.
