Please suggest a book that will help improve the writing skills of 10-year-old children, with a main focus on essay and story writing. It should include exercises that the child can do to enhance their writing abilities. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

WriteGirl is a well regarded nonprofit in Los Angeles that at its core pairs professional writers of all genres with girls for creative writing mentorship. IIRC, the age group is junior high through high school
But they have published several books with loads of writing prompts and writing exercises. Might be worth checking out: https://www.writegirl.org
And I can vouch for their awesomeness as a former mentor.
“Pens on Fire,” “What’s Behind the Blue Door,” and “This Moment,” are the titles I’d suggest checking out.
