I recently re-read Thomas Harris’s Red Dragon and Silence of The Lambs. I also read Craig Russell’s The Devil Aspect. I loved all three: they all had some elements of trying to get into someone’s head/criminal profiling, and atmospheric descriptions that really made you feel like you were there. The Devil Aspect had fantastic descriptions of 1930s Czechoslovakia and Harris’s books really capture all the various settings really well.
I also really like the forensics in the two Harris books: I enjoyed reading about the investigations, the forensic analysis of Lecter’s note and the various wounds, etc. And the third-person narrative is something I enjoy as well.
With this in mind, do y’all have any suggestions for similar books?
