my little sister is 12 years old and her English teacher has asked me to try and help her get into reading to help with her confidence in school, but she’s adamant reading is for “nerds”. she isn’t into anything like Harry Potter or Hunger Games, instead it’s things like Friends and Superstore, has anybody got any suitable book recommendations I could try for her?

I’d say try some Meg Cabot, maybe? How to be popular is a good stand alone story of hers.
