Hi! I’m a new mom, and I would love to get back into reading with some easy books. A little about me – I used to be a HUGE reader. Now, I am really into audiobooks because I haven’t had a lot of free time, but I listen to the same 10 books over and over. I’ve literally listened to the entire Harry Potter and Hunger Games series at least 30 times all the way through. I just love the comfort and knowing I’m going to like the story.
I would like to branch out though! My favorite books are The Host – Stephanie Meyer, Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty, Apples Never Fall – Liane Moriarty, The Secret Life of Bees – Sue Monk Kidd, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, The Guardian – Nicholas Sparks, Twilight.
Shoot me your best recommendations! If there’s any good parenting books too, I’m open to those. Thanks!

If you liked Twilight maybe you would like the Ruby Red trilogy.
It looks like we have pretty similar book tastes – here’s a few I think you might enjoy!
– The Wish by Nicholas Sparks
– Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
– Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
– Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult
– The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
– The Five Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand
– A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
I listened to all of these on Audiobook and loved them! The only one I really wished I’d actually read was Mad Honey, fwiw. I hope this helps!! Happy Reading (:
If you’re open to middle grade, I highly recommend Nevermoorby Jessica Townsend! [The audiobooks](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/51da4742-ca09-4638-9c93-f13440bff12b) are excellent too!
Maybe Her Majesty the Queen investigates series (cozy crime) by S.J. Bennett and The Thursday murder club series by Richard Osman are very accessible. Although I’m not sure if they are on audio book.
Project Hail Mary! Great book great Audiobook.
Took me about 18m to get back into reading after baby. Pick something short! It felt like an achievement to actually finish a physical book again and it made me pick up the next one. Novellas can be good for that.
It was One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence that was the first physical book I finished but not sure it lines up too much with your list of favs
Tress of the Emerald sea by Brandon Sanderson is a fun light fantasy
Gail Carriger has some fun books (Ettiquette and Espionage -YA, Soulless – Adult and there’s quite a few novellas all set in the same world – generally light, some humour, the YA ones set in a British boarding school (for young ladies learning to be spies) so might scratch the Harry Potter itch)
Neil Gaiman’s YA books like Coraline or The graveyard book
Good luck!
