I know that is vague but even something as simple as regions originally basing their time by the position of the sun as ‘Local Mean Time’ having to change to ‘Railway Time’ and eventually GMT with the advent of extended transportation systems in the UK— was never mentioned in my own basic history education and I think it’s interesting. It feels like this shift would be transformative as electric lights or cars but it’s referenced, if at all, as a footnote. Appreciate any insights or recommendations.
