I’m looking for a protagonist with the world on their shoulders, probably some sort of fantasy or sci-fi where they lead a fighting force or some similar effect.
The key ideal being, that through every secret and conspiracy, the protagonist has a single confidante who has the protagonist’s full trust, possibly romantic.
