In 5th grade we had to read this book but she let us listen to the audiobook version every Friday but the school year ended before we could finish it
All I remember is a simple plot and some scenes so I’ll describe what I know
There was a family of 5
Mom and dad and brother, little sister and finally an adopted daughter
The adopted daughter was special though like she had super powers and some lab was trying to find her and I’m pretty (not 100%) sure the parents were from that lab but took her
There was a scene where the siblings and some random dude who had super speed I’m pretty sure and something about a cell tower and the super speed guy was running form the lab guys and that’s all I remember
I know it’s not much to go on but I have looked everywhere online trying to describe it but I’ve gotten nothing so im hoping maybe someone has or had the book and remembers this silly plot and knows the name I’ve been trying to find this for years
