I’d like to visit Georgia (the country) one day. Wondering if there are any must read literature works from there or any books that are based in Tbilisi that you recommend.
Try ‘The Knight in the Panther’s Skin’ by Shota Rustaveli. It’s a classic from Georgia.

For an engrossing work of recent fiction that covers a significant swathe of Georgian history (the entire Soviet and post-Soviet period, essentially), I thought **The Eighth Life** by Nino Harataschwili was excellent.

I know this is not exactly what you ask for, but “Santa Esperanza” by Georgian author Aka Morchiladze is one of my favourite novels. It’s a bit of an experiment in nonlinear storytelling and quite fantastic.
