Looking for suggestions on accurate historical fiction books.
I finished reading Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. I really liked how accurate the history was in that story and learned a lot. I feel like I’d like something a little less depressing, but I’m open to any suggestions!
This may sound a bit crazy, but the Flashman series, a comedy tour de force about a lowlife anti-hero, takes place in a backdrop of wild but accurate historical situations.

All of Lisa See’s books are excellent. My favorite of hers is The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane
Code Name Helene by Ariel Lawhon and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah are also great
