I just finished reading Dan Simmons’ “Flashback.” Although I was slightly biased by reading negative reviews beforehand, I still acquired both the book and the audiobook in parallel. And wow, what an immensely gripping and emotionally intense read.
I understand some of the commonly raised criticisms about this book, but I’m not the type of reader who lets others’ opinions sway me from appreciating a story or an author. Additionally, not all of Simmons’ thought experiments are far-fetched—though perhaps a bit exaggerated.
Anyway, I’d like to know how you evaluate the >! happy!< ending.
