I’m almost halfway through Finale (the 3rd book of the Caraval series) and Dante/Legend has just been killed by the fates, Tella and Julian immediately realise because the moment he died all his magic dissappeared. Now, that makes me wonder. How did that work in the first book? I remember Scarlett stumbling upon his dead body in those hidden corridors (or something like that, it’s been some time) during the first game. I know Legend’s magic is stronger during Caraval, but strong enough to stay when he is dead? I know rules are different then, and maybe this is explained later on, but it kinda feels like a pretty big plot hole
Anyone’s got an idea how this worked?
