A lot of people started with The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, but I’d also recommend Misery or Carrie as very well written & accessible novels.

I’d consider by publication date, interesting progression.

The Stand! It was my first Stephen King book about 5 years ago and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Misery is also an amazing read.

Really, most anywhere. But for fun: 11/22/63, ‘Salem’s Lot, Misery, Cujo or a book of short stories, Skeleton Crew

Pet Semetary is one of the most straight forward books I’ve read by him. I highly recommend it as a first reading of King.

I’m not going to advocate for any particular starting place because there are many good reasons for picking where to start depending on your interest and priorities.
But as a long time SK reader I jumped in on the Bachman books, went somewhat chronological and I haven’t been disappointed.

Great question! 11/22/63 sounds interesting after reading a summary of it just now, but I think I’ll start with The Stand. I tried watching the movie when I was younger and when I saw the devil in the corn field I literally turned it off and never finished lol.
