I have been re-reading Stephen King’s books lately. I noticed that many of his stories have children and teenagers as protagonists. They undergo horrible experiences (such as Talisman,It, Institute etc) but their reactions, thought processes and dialogs seem very adult like. While I had enjoyed these books earlier, i find them creepy now. Anyone else feel the same…

Apart from THAT scene in It, I like what I’ve read of King’s child characters. Too many writers write kids like they’re idiots.
