The premise of the book sounds interesting. It’s about maximizing your productivity by waking up earlier, in this case at 5 AM. That’s at least what I think it’s about. I wouldn’t know because I stopped reading it after 2 days – 20% into the book.
Robin Sharma wrote a self help book which presents it’s tips in form a fiction story. It’s something new, which I didn’t find in any other self help books which I read. But that’s where the problem starts. The story and the characters are really bad.
The introduced characters are all one-dimensional and have nothing going for them. One of the main one is an entrepreneur which i suicidal and that’s the only personality trait that she has. The other one is an artist which talks like a surfer and that’s sums up the character.
The guru in this story is a guy named Riley Stones, he is the only main one which gets introduced by his name. He gets verbally jerked of by the other characters and always get praised for being so amazing and is portrait as an holy figure (Doves fly past, golden light shines, etc…) . I don’t know why but I had the feeling that the author inserted himself into the story (**R**iley **S**tones – mhhh **R**obin **S**harma), but what do i know.
Only the cringe writhing tops this.
>”I love Vermeer’s Woman in Blue Reading a Letter and, of course, Girl with a Pearl Earring,” said the billionaire, cementing the fact that he appreciated great art.

>A model had been meticulously carved into the wood. You would have been most impressed — and fascinated — if you saw it.

>The entrepreneur let out a sigh the size of Mexico City

>Who you just don’t vibe with. Who have different values and lower standards than you do.
Who have different Mindsets, Heartsets, Healthsets and Soulsets.

>“You can lean on me,” the artist said tenderly. He placed a hand with a hippie ring on a pinky finger onto his heart as he spoke these words, looking both chivalrous and bohemian.

>“Drama mamas,” the homeless man interrupted again. “That’s what I call men and women who’ve caught the virus of victimitis excusitis.
A combination of this and the fact that I didn’t get any tips out of it after reading the first 6 chapters of the book, I stopped reading. I looked up some reviews to see if other people are sharing my sentiment, and they are.
Maybe I have the wrong Mindsets, Heartsets, Healthsets and Soulsets for enjoying this master piece, but I will give this book 0/100.

Dear god. Hands down, the worst book i have ever had this misfortune to begin reading. DNF’d, considered burning. Such such such SUCH garbage.
And I am usually aiming to be very temperate, to each their own, etc. No. this book. Huh-uh.
