I don’t really have a “type” or particular genre that I like but since last summer to give you a gist of what I read;
• The entirety of the Tennison series by Lynda La Plante.
• The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman
• Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan
• The Satsuma Complex by Bob Mortimer
• Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman
• Transitional by Munroe Bergdorf
• Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
• The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
• Oh Miriam! By Miriam Margolyes
• Just Like You by Nick Hornby
• The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
• The Roommate by Rosie Danan
• The first three Murder on Location series by Sara Rosett
I suppose the most obvious things that jump out are I love a good crime book and queer authors/books/stories.
I picked up The Roommate for $4.50 in Latvia and wasn’t expecting such great smut, would love any similar recommendations.
I’m a binge reader so when I’ve got a physical book I’ll spend hours at a time reading. Sara Rosett I’ve been listening to on audiobooks at 1.1 speed to make it more bearable but generally I can’t concentrate on audio.
I’ve got a few Sarah Walters that I haven’t started yet, bought for the gay sex scenes obviously but couldn’t get into the whole time shift. I know Tennison was set in the 70s/80s but I seemed to obsess over those. I guess I prefer a more modern setting and bar the Midnight Library I prefer my books to be semi realistic.
