What are some Indian literature books that are good for beginners? by bhuvanlord Related: Any Michael Crichton suggestions? Novels that are like Attack on Titan ? I just finished reading The Drowning woman! What should I read next? Can’t remember the title! Is there a single book that has profoundly influenced your outlook on life in a positive way?

I wouldn’t start with Salman Rushdie or Rohinton Mistry – too difficult. You could also look at Anita Desai, her novels are also very good and ‘accessible’ to people unfamiliar with the culture.
