Hey all, a few years ago I read a couple Stephen King books and then couldn’t stop. In 2023 I read the entire Dark Tower series plus a huge amount of the connected books. It got to the point where I was only reading King and didn’t have time for any other author.
Before that I fell in love with the Three Body Problem trilogy. I love hard science fiction. So, can anyone suggest me a book that has a similar prose/style to King, but also the hard sci-fi elements like in Three Body? I need a transistion book to help me out of this rut because now I’m reading ANOTHER King book.
Also open to suggestions that don’t quite fit this criteria.
Thanks!

Murakami reminds me of King for some reason. At least Kafka on the Shore did. Not sci-fi but supernatural elements and King like strangeness.
