Ok I am desperately looking for a book that I read in the early 2000s its about a female werewolf she rescues lots of dogs. Her friend has an abusive husband that she secretly seduces and kills. There’s a sheriffs officer that is also secretly a werewolf and he breaks into her house and marks her bed and steals her family book on werewolf history. I have searched every corner of Google and can not find it, it’s similar to blood and chocolate
