Hello everyone, I’m facing some problems while reading/learning for a very long time.
ill try to make it as short as possible.
I’m currently learning Finance, so I’m going into the Wikipedia and start reading and learning about stuff, the problem is everytime I read something, I don’t actually understand what I read and I have to read the same sentence few times trying to understand every word ..
after I read 1 full sentence its hard for me to explain what I read I need to look at it again over and over.
I watched some youtube videos that say just read and let your brain process everything, I don’t really get how it works, for example I’m learning about concepts in micro economics , I get into the wikipedia and start reading about some new concepts, how my brain will process the things I read if I don’t really understand them, its like watching a video but after it you will not memorize anything.
if you guys had this problem an advice to sharpen and improving it will be highly appreciated
Thank you 🙂

Is it possible that the Wikipedia articles are just too complicated for you? Maybe you just need better and easier explanations.
You will probably not learn concepts like finance from Wikipedia. It makes sense that you don’t understand concepts after reading about them there. Wikipedia is just an informational overview *about* the topic, not an educational resource for learning it. You’ll need to seek out sources intended to teach you things. Coursera allows you free access to auditing a wide range of classes, that’s probably where I’d start if I were you.
As far as working on your comprehension in general – that’s mostly going to just take practice and determination. But have you ever been evaluated for learning difficulties like dyslexia?
