As it says. I’d like to hear some serious, mature (doesn’t need to be explicit but it can be) romance book recommendations. I admit I am picky when it comes to romance. I feel like most of the genre these days are all the same silly, romcom mess. They even all have the same cover with the same font and the same silly kitchsy titles.
I’d like a serious romance. Drama, deep storylines, and satisfying love scenes. I’m not against smut or sex scenes but I don’t want it to be the end all.
I’ve considered Nicholas Sparks books but don’t know where to start.

One of the very few romance books I’ve read and liked was Nicholls, “One Day” (yes, the one with the new Netflix series). I’m not entirely sure if it technically is romance, but I found the main characters to be rather relatable. Also has an interesting structure.
