Translated poetry books with the original, a transliteration, *and* the author’s own translation (+ notes on relevant cultural/historical/religious/linguistic/etc. context, if any authors also do that? The more footnotes, the better.)
Essentially, I want to see the original, as close a translation of the original as possible, and then the author’s own version of the poem with their creative liberties taken as translated works all require some level of interpretation.
In order of preference, I would like for the languages to be Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, or Persian (only from Middle Ages) to English. As for the other three languages, I would like if they were from the Middle Ages as well, but it isn’t completely necessary.
Thank you in advance if anyone is able to share something like this.
