The bad thing about 18th century classic literature is they’re not making any more of it. Looking for books with a similar vibe to Jane Austen and Charlotte & Emily Brontë. Any suggestions?
North and South by Elizabeth Glaskell. Maybe George Elliot?

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

Check out Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. It’s very short, and gave me Brontë vibes.
Tess of the D’Urbervilles is another great one; much longer.
If you’re open to a more modern book with Big Wuthering Heights Energy, check out The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. It’s a pretty gross gothic suspense book that could be set in any time period.

*Vanity Fair*, Thackeray. *Wives and Daughters*, Elizabeth Gaskell. *The Forsyte Saga*, John Galsworthy.

It was written later, but I’m really digging the vibe of Georgette Heyer’s The Grand Sophy.
