While I don’t solely go for pretty looking books, I do have a soft spot for covers with beautiful aesthetics and am always looking for more. What are some books with nice cover art that might be worth adding to one’s collection?

Preferably looking for ones that are still decent reads, and more-so looking for fiction, with sci-fi/fantasy being my go-to but I’ll happily take suggestions from basically any genre.

Also, while not entirely relevant as I’m wanting to see all sorts of designs, some of my recent favorites are Dune (Penguin Galaxy Edition), The Lost Apothecary, and A Lonely Broadcast.

      From the more recent years:

Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan has a gorgeous cover. It fits the book, has a very ethereal vibe.

This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar is both a beautiful book and a very creative cover.

The Chosen and the Beautiful by Nghi Vo, though this book is best if you have Gatsby knowledge beforehand.

Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield for tying every aspect of the book cleverly.

Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver because I think everyone should read it and it has such a lovely design.
