We just finished the first mistborn trilogy and from experience I know it is not that good of an idea to start era 2 right away.
Because of that, I’m looking for something that isn’t a big commitment and gives us a good read for now.
In case this helps, I’ve read and enjoyed all from Brandon Sanderson, H. P. Lovecraft and Tolkien, while she is a big GRRM fan.
Preferably something written before the 2010’s
