Suggest me a book that’s easy to get into and lost in.
I used to love reading. In fact, I used to like writing, too. But, I’ve been struggling with life in general for many reasons. I want to kind of get back into actual hobbies that isn’t just sitting there and watching TV. But, my attention span and general joy in things is also really bad. So, I want something that will hook me like immediately, if possible. Something with good world building. I don’t like mystery, dystopians, or primarily romance-themed books.
I’m in my twenties if that makes any difference. Thank you so much!

Have you read Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson? I found that one pretty accessible, and it has great world building.
The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanivich is light hearted, easy to read
Stephen King’s IT
It’s way different than the movies and isn’t too scary. It’s main theme being the bonds of friendship. It’s long but is very easy to read. It will also draw you into the story and make you really care about the characters and what’s happening.
I JUST started The Suitcase by Hiromi Kawakami and it’s calming, sweet, easily engaging and relaxing. Japanese literature I often find soothing.
I’m sorry to hear about your depression.
Short, funny and addictive: Murderbot Diaries series starting with All Systems Red by Martha Wells. I just started the series last month and I’m halfway through and can’t wait to continue.
