So, at one point Meg receives a letter from Mr. Brooke professing his love. She replies that shes too young. Then she gets another letter from him saying that he doesn’t love her.
Then suddenly everyone knows it was actually Laurie who wrote both letters. I don’t understand why he would do that. It’s not funny and it doesn’t seem consistent with his character. I mean he does joke around and tease, but this seems cruel.
