Hi, guys! I’m looking for this very specific trope. I’ve always been into the whole deal where a modern character dives into this cool fantasy world and has adventures using their modern smarts and tech to beat the fantasy baddies. This also includes time travel adventures (without abandoning the tools they brought with them into the fantasy world or old eras). I’m okay with a bit of romance, aka super slow burn (without the spicy scenes, only including kissing).
It doesn’t always go down like that, though—sometimes they gotta drop the modern vibe and become a fantasy hero. But hey, I’ve always been all about that geeky preference, where the modern guy stays modern and all of that. The fantasy world includes tales about dragons or wizardry, and the protagonist is this clueless guy/girl trying to survive in the strange world. I read a very similar trope from a Wattpad novel a few years back; it’s called “Talon of The Black” (Dragonwall Series) by Melissa Mitchell (y’all should read it or buy the paperback one!!).
