I want a book that leaves the reader in a state of absolute confusion, almost as if drilling a hole in the reader’s brain (if it makes sense lmao) Nothing too hard tho, please- I’m just 14, and that too with English as my second language. I’m a really big fan of Kurzgesagt and its videos such as optimistic nihilism. That channel is really what forced me to look out of the bubble of thoughts given to me by my surroundings and form my own thoughts. Their videos make me feel so perplexed and I want something like that but in a book. I’ve been foraging around the philosophy section of bookstores only to get more confused. My teeny-tiny brain just isn’t capable of understanding stuff like Camus, Dostoevsky, Nietzsche, Kafka and I’ve already forced it enough. I basically just want a book that’s not hard to understand but just evokes that sense of morbid curiosity about the universe, the earth, its people, its animals, and just its mere existence, exactly how Kurzgesagt does it. Not lightweight at all though, I want its effect to last for at least a few weeks.
This was all such a big jumble of words, I hope you get what I’m saying tho lol
Ps- Please don’t restrict any book rec because of its nsfw content or any type of gore, I don’t mind it at all.
