Books about a character who doesn’t care?.

I never read the book, but I have seen Fight Club, and it seems like Tyler Durden just doesn’t care about society or rules and often comes across as edgy and cool. Another one is probably no longer human. I know he cares about other things, but the writing in Japanese is so good that it doesn’t feel as heavy as many people say.

I’m in the mood for a Japanese novel, so if anyone has read a light novel or something like that, recommend it to me.
