I love historical fiction that I believe is considered stylistically poetic/flowery writing. I find my taste differs from the mainstream a bit for this- some best sellers are too stark/direct for me to really fall in love with them.
On the off chance someone knows some of my favorites, can you recommend something I might love again? Bonus points if romance is NOT the central theme. It’s been too long!
