Shorter books to reignite interest in reading – something easy to get into

I go through phases of being really into reading and then losing interest for months. Can anyone suggest some shorter books (200 – 300 pages ideally) that grabbed your attention early on and held on the whole time?

I usually read horror novels, but am also into other genre stuff like sci-fi and some fantasy. Also open to coming-of-age novels or LGBTQ+ topics.
