after a massive multiple year-long reader’s block i’m finally reading again and i’m looking for book recommendations, since i’m not familiar with the newer authors.
even before my reader’s block i’ve wanted to read the Six of Crows books by Leigh Bardugo and the All for the Games series (The Foxhole Court) by Nora Sakavic, which i’ve now done, and i’ve enjoyed both immensely. my favorite ya book series is the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater.
i once attempted to read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas but i couldn’t even get through the first book, i disliked it so much. dispite how bad i thought the writing was, it’s very popular and so now i’m distrustful of any book that is very hyped and wary of any kind of recommendation booktokers make.
so i’m hopeful that maybe with these three series in mind someone could recommend me some ya books that i could enjoy.
(i’m currently also rereading the Percy Jackson books and i’m looking to start The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang.)
oh, and i refuse to read any Colleen Hoover books.
