I really love sci-fi books with great writing, compelling characters, believable worlds, and warm relationships. It’s important to me that at least some of the relationships are healthy and heart-warming in it and it’s not all just trying to screw each other over. Bonus if it’s a multi- book series I can get lost in for weeks!

    Any suggestions?

    1. Becky Chambers’ **The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet** has a construction spaceship crewed with a found-family of multiple species travel across the galaxy to a new job. Most of the plot is interactions between the crew and incidents that happen along the way.

    2. Andy Weir’s The Martian for me is a good book, Mark Watney is stranded after the rest of the crew beleive he was killed by a radio antennae during a dust storm. And the book follows Watney, Nasa and his crew mates to come to rescue him. And most people who love The Martian also love Project Hail Mary also by Andy Weir.
