After getting far too engrossed playing Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic, I want to learn more!
Anyone have any suggestions on reading material around the actual practical choices of how soviet cities were built and laid out, how industry was run etc?
There are many books about the broader strokes of the planned economy and the political side of everything, but I really want to know about the nuts and bolts on the ground of how a soviet city went from an empty field to a bunch of apartments and city services and industrial facilities.
