Hey everyone,
I’m currently stuck in a reading slump and need your help to break free! I’m a huge fan of fiction, especially mystery/thriller genres, and adore books with captivating writing styles. While I’ve tried some non-fiction, I haven’t found many that grab my attention—especially not into self-help books.
If you have any recommendations that fit the bill—whether it’s an edge-of-your-seat thriller or a beautifully written novel—I’d love to hear them. Let’s get those pages turning again!
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

[**Dark Matter** by Blake Crouch](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27833670)
holy shit, this book starts off right away and doesn’t let up. the pacing is incredible and it literally feels like you’re reading a mystery:thriller movie. i blew through this book in one sitting because i could not stop turning the pages. so so so so so good!
Hmmmm… the two I’d recommend are Rock, Paper, Scissors & Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
I haven’t read Rock, Paper, Scissors yet but I heard it’s a 5 star read apparently so I’m definitely gonna give that a read soon. I did read Daisy Darker if you like the Knives Out movies then you’ll definitely like this book!
Have you read [A Tree Grows in Brooklyn](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/dc5de2f5-b132-4c4c-8e49-8bf46005d5da) by Betty Smith?
You say mystery – how about the Queen of Mystery

They are page turners and they aren’t just simple mysterious. Her characters around the murders are written with good depth and are not just place holders. Christie was a keen observer of human nature and I love how blunt she is about it.
