I really liked The Family Plot by Megan Collins. I loved that the whole family was together in an isolated place but still ventured out somewhat. These things are more secondary but I also like that the house felt big, Dahlia had a friend on the “outside” (Greta, who lived back in the city but talked with Dehlia in emails/ on the phone) and that there was a kind of weird, dark eclectic feel to me in a way. Can you suggest me a book that has similar elements to this, especially the being isolated but still venturing out some. Thank you

P.s another book that kind of had some of these elements to me was Practical Magic y Alice Hoffman if that helps make a recommendation. The family all lived together, had their issues with each other but still helped each other out, they were kind of insular, always had a safe homebase to come back to, had a weird (bc of the magic) “dark”-ish feel. I’m reading Magic Lessons right now and it doesn’t have the same feel
